Man arrested on drug sale charges during traffic stop early Wednesday morning

On Wednesday, July 27th, 2022, at 2:13 am, a Turlock Police officer near the intersection of Countryside Dr and Wisteria Ln, Turlock, observed a vehicle violate the California Vehicle Code, so he made a traffic stop on it.

The officer made contact with the vehicle’s driver and identified him as Brian Hodge, 52, of Ceres.

The officer had his dispatcher run Hodge and he returned to be on searchable probation for possession of a stun gun by a convicted felon or person convicted of an assault crime and had a suspended driver’s license due to a DUI conviction

A probation search of Hodge’s vehicle was conducted which led to the discovery of narcotics and drug sale paraphernalia. Hodge was questioned and he admitted to selling drugs.

Hodge was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of possession of methamphetamines for sale, driving or leaving standing an unregistered vehicle, and not maintaining lighting equipment on a vehicle in good working order.
