At about 11:37pm Thursday, Turlock Police Officer Rios made a traffic stop at Walgreens in the 1500 block of Geer Road.
Rios made contact with and identified the vehicle’s two occupants, including passenger Michael Ferrell, 33, of Modesto, who gave his brother’s name and date of birth instead of his own.
When Rios had his dispatcher run the name Ferrell had given, it popped up as one of his aliases due to him previously identifying as his brother.
Ferrell had a no-bail felony bench warrant out of Stanislaus County for transporting a controlled substance between noncontiguous counties, bringing contraband into a jail, and false personation, a $5,500 local misdemeanor bench warrant for driving under the influence of a drug and possession of a controlled substance, and a $5,500 misdemeanor bench warrant out of Modesto for auto theft.
During the investigation, Ferrell was positively identified.
Ferrell was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of false personation and his warrants.
