On Sunday, January 29th, 2023, at 2:53 am, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a security check at the Brentwood Apartments, 303 Wayside Dr, Turlock, after a man who wasn’t making much sense had called to report that someone who had tried stabbed his mother was outside.
When officers arrived on scene, they found and made contact with Sergio Ramirez, 35, of Ceres.
Officers began investigating and learned that Ramirez was the ex-boyfriend of the caller’s mother, who he had gotten into a verbal argument with. No crimes had been committed and no knife had been involved.
When officers had their dispatcher run Ramirez, they discovered that he had three bench warrants. The first one was a $200,550 felony one out of Ceres for driving or taking a vehicle without the consent of its owner and buying or receiving a stolen vehicle, the second one was a $55,555 local misdemeanor one for driving under the influence of alcohol, driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 or greater, and hit and run causing property damage, and the third one was a $55,555 misdemeanor one out of Stanislaus County for driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 or greater.
Ramirez was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on his warrants.
