Man arrested on felony warrant and drug sale charges early Monday morning

On Monday, June 20th, 2022, at 1:29 am, a Turlock Police officer near the intersection of N First St and Florence St, Turlock, made contact with a suspicious vehicle whose occupants had just been seen walking away from the area of a prowler in a backyard call.

The officer made contact with the vehicle’s two occupants, including Colton Babb, 35, of Turlock. The officer then had his dispatcher run both subjects and Babb returned with a felony warrant for flight from a peace officer with disregard to public safety.

Babb was also found to be in post release community supervision, which allows his person and his property to be searched at any time by any peace officer. Officers learned that Babb had a motel room nearby so they went there to perform a PRCS search. During the search, officers came into contact with Leilani Dixon, 51, of Turlock, who was in Babb’s room.

The search led to the discovery of narcotics, including some which appeared to be for sale.

Both Babb and Dixon were arrested. Babb was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of possession of methamphetamines for sale as well as his felony warrant, while Dixon was released on a citation on charges of possession of methamphetamines.
