Man arrested on five misdemeanor warrants during traffic stop early Tuesday morning

On Tuesday, February 21st, 2023, at 2:44 am, a Turlock Police officer near the intersection of W Hawkeye Ave and N Golden State Blvd, Turlock, observed a driver violating the California Vehicle Code, so he made a traffic stop on him.

The officer made contact with and asked the vehicle’s driver, Miguel Hernandez, 27, of Palm Springs, to identify himself. Hernandez gave an alias.

When the officer had his dispatcher run the alias Hernandez had given, she was unable to locate a driver’s license record, however, found history with that alias being used in the past. The dispatcher found Hernandez’s real name and discovered that he had five misdemeanor bench warrants. The first one was a $2,025 one for driving with a suspended driver’s license, the second one was a $25,555 one for domestic violence inflicting corporal injury, the third one was a $25,555 one for driving with a suspended driver’s license, the fourth one was a $25,555 one for possession of a controlled substance, and the fifth one was a $1,020 one for driving with a suspended driver’s license.

Hernandez was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on his warrants. Additionally, his vehicle was impounded.
