Man arrested on four felony warrants after battering brother Sunday morning

On Sunday, September 4th, 2022, at 11:02 am, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported assault and battery that had just occurred at a residence in the 1200 block of Pioneer Ave, Turlock, after two brothers had gotten into a fight.

When officers arrived on scene, the suspect, Kaleb Arriaz, 24, of Turlock, had already fled the area, however, was located in a parking lot nearby a short time later.

When officers attempted to make contact with Arriaz, he began fleeing on foot. After a brief foot pursuit, Arriaz was arrested.

Arriaz was determined to have four felony warrants, the first was a $200,000 one for making criminal threats, domestic violence inflicting corporal injury, and assault by means of force likely to produce great bodily injury, the second was a $150,555 one for grand theft, the third was a $100,500 one for domestic violence inflicting corporal injury, battery inflicting serious bodily injury, false imprisonment, and making criminal threats, and the fourth was a $100,550 one for domestic violence inflicting corporal injury.

The victim from this specific incident that police were called for did not want prosecution.

Arriaz was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of obstructing or resisting a peace officer or other public officer, as well as his warrants.
