Man arrested on narcotic charges and two felony warrants after reportedly tampering with vehicle Thursday night

On Thursday, January 12th, 2023, at 10:53 pm, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported auto burglary in progress at Fast Lane Motors, 1060 N Golden State Blvd, after two men had been seen tampering with a vehicle on the property.

When officers arrived on scene, they found and made contact with the two men as they were walking away from the business heading eastbound on Almond Ave. Both were identified, including Arthur Rincon, 45, of Modesto.

Officers began investigating and determined that no crimes had been committed.

When officers had their dispatcher run the two, they discovered that Rincon had two $20,000 felony bench warrants. The first one was out of Eureka for identity theft and violation of probation, while the second one was out of Siskiyou County for failure to appear, violation of probation, and committing a felony while on bail or release.

Rincon was arrested and a search conducted incident to arrest led to the discovery of methamphetamines and drug paraphernalia.

Rincon was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of possession of methamphetamines and possession of drug paraphernalia, as well as his warrant.

It should be noted that what appears to be a firearm in one of the photos is just a replica.
