At about 12:21am Friday, Turlock Police Officer Aziz got out with an occupied suspicious vehicle at N. Broadway and Flower Street.

Aziz made contact with and identified the vehicle’s two occupants, including Jasbir Bains, 34, of Turlock.

When Aziz had his dispatcher run the two, he discovered Bains had three warrants. The first was a $10,000 local felony warrant of arrest for identity theft and theft, the second was a $5,000 misdemeanor bench warrant out of Ceres for possession of methamphetamines, and the third was a $50,000 felony bench warrant out of Amador County for identity theft, grand theft, and receiving stolen property.

It appears the theft charges are related to forged bank cards.

Bains was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on his warrants.
