Man arrested on two misdemeanor narcotics warrants during traffic stop Monday night

On Monday, May 15th, 2023, at 11:35 pm, a Turlock Police officer near Sanders Meat, 1220 South Ave, Turlock, observed a man driving a vehicle violate the California Vehicle Code, so he made a traffic stop on him.

The officer made contact with and identified both of the vehicle’s occupants, including driver Marcos Lopez, 57, of Modesto.

When the officer had his dispatcher run Lopez, he discovered that he had two $100,555 misdemeanor bench warrants for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of methamphetamines, one local and the other out of Modesto.

Lopez was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on his warrants.
