At about 3:24am Monday, Turlock Police responded to a security check at Denny’s in the 1900 block of Lander Avenue.

The caller reported there was a man who had been passed out in a vehicle. The vehicle had originally been in reverse and the man had a needle in his hand, but then he woke up and moved to a different parking spot.

Officers arrived on scene and located the vehicle. They contacted its driver and identified him as Christian Almeida, 30, of Turlock.

When officers had their dispatcher run Almeida, they discovered he had a $25,500 misdemeanor bench warrant out of Stanislaus County for possession of a controlled substance and possession of methamphetamines.

Almeida was arrested and a subsequent search led to the discovery of metal knuckles and drug paraphernalia.

Almedia was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of possession of metal knuckles and possession of drug paraphernalia, as well as his warrant.
