On Thursday, May 20th, 2021, the Turlock Police Department received three tips reporting child pornography. These tips were investigated by a high tech crimes detective and leads pointed him to Vy Timmy Tuy, 26, of Turlock, and his residence in the 1300 block of Geer Rd.
On Saturday, July 17th, 2021, detectives visited Tuy at his residence and interviewed him. During their visit, they located evidence in connection to the crimes. The evidence was taken to the Turlock Police Department where it was processed and additional evidence was located.
On Thursday, July 22nd, 2021, at approximately 10:15 am, Tuy came to the Turlock Police Department where he was arrested without incident. Tuy was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of distribution of child pornography, using a minor to produce child pornography, and possession of child pornography. There were no local victims identified during this investigation.
