At about 12:50am Monday, Turlock Police Officer Nunez got out with two suspicious persons near Valley Smoke Shop in the 500 block of N. Golden State Boulevard.

The couple had been going through trash that they had scattered all around.

Both subjects were identified, including Christopher Wilson, 33, of Modesto.

When Nunez had his dispatcher run the two, he discovered that Wilson was on probation out of Merced County for destroying or damaging jail or prison property and violation of a domestic violence protective order. He also had two no-bail felony bench warrants out of Merced County for violation of probation.

Officer Gallup, who was assisting, then ran the license plate of a nearby motorcycle. He discovered that it had been reported stolen from Allways Towing in the 1500 block of Paulson Road a couple of weeks prior.

Through the investigation, Wilson was able to be linked to the motorcycle.

Wilson was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on the charge of buying or receiving a stolen vehicle, as well as his warrants.
