On Friday, April 14th, 2023, at 9:53 pm, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported aggravated assault at Emanuel Medical Center, 825 Delbon Ave, Turlock, after a victim had arrived with several stab wounds.

When officers arrived on scene, they met with the victim, a 20-year-old Hispanic man, who stated that the incident had occurred at Donnelley Park.

The victim was hanging out at the park with a woman who he knew from high school, when six to seven men in their late teens and early 20s wearing ski masks approached the couple. The men stated that they were robbing the victim and then began to assault him with a baseball bat and bottles. The victim was able to escape to his vehicle and drive himself to the hospital.

The victim’s injuries were non-life-threatening and he was treated for them.

Officers were able to locate evidence of the assault at the scene and collected it.
