Man caught doing burnouts arrested after resisting officer Friday night

On Friday, September 23rd, 2022, at 9:37 pm, a Turlock Police officer near the intersection of W Monte Vista Ave and N Golden State Blvd, Turlock, observed a vehicle doing burnouts, so he made a traffic stop on it.

The officer made contact with the vehicle’s driver, later identified as Mark Ramirez, 21, of Modesto, and attempted to remove him from his vehicle, however, he resisted. Ramirez was eventually removed from his vehicle, however, it was left in gear which caused it to proceed forward and collide with a patrol vehicle, causing damage.

Ramirez was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of reckless driving and obstructing or resisting a peace officer or other public officer. His vehicle was also impounded for 30 days.
