On Saturday, April 15th, 2023, at 4:48 am, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported battery in progress in front of a residence in the 1800 block of Henry Way, Turlock, involving a man and a woman.
When officers arrived on scene, they contacted the involved parties, including Michael Lopez, 33, of Delhi, and Lisa Olson, 46, of Ceres.
Lopez became uncooperative with officers and eventually resisted with violence. He was detained after a brief struggle. Olson also displayed objective symptoms of being under the influence of alcohol and was unable to care for herself.
Lopez and Olson were both arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center, Lopez on charges of attempting to deter or resist an executive officer in the performance of their duty by means of threat or violence, public intoxication, and obstructing or resisting a public officer in the discharge of their duty, and Olson on the charge of public intoxication.
