At about 10:05am Wednesday morning, Turlock Police and Turlock Fire responded to a suspicious person at CVS Pharmacy in the 3100 block of Geer Road.

Several callers reported that there was a man who had lit his shirt on fire and was swinging it around over his head.

Officers arrived on scene and contacted one of their frequent customers who they immediately recognized, Nikko Gil, 32, of Turlock.

Gil was determined to be on searchable probation and trespass admonished from several locations, but not CVS.

The shirt was no longer on fire and Gil didn’t require any assistance, so he was released.

Gil moved his stuff and went a couple driveways down to the Arco parking lot, located at 150 E. Monte Vista Avenue, while there was also another transient man with a dog in the Javi’s parking lot and behind CVS, Wing Stop, HQ Hair Salon, and Teassert.

This has been known as a major homeless/transient location with lots of garbage, graffiti, and other vandalism.
