On Tuesday, June 20th, 2023, at 1:43 am, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported suspicious incident at the Oak Park Apartments, 1700 N Tully Rd, Turlock, after several subjects associated with three different vehicles had been seen covering up license plates and casing the area.

As an officer arrived on scene, he observed a black 2021 Nissan Rogue take off northbound on N Tully Rd from the apartment complex. The black Rogue didn’t have its headlights on, so the officer made a traffic stop on it near the intersection of W Tuolumne Rd and N Golden State Blvd.

Simultaneously, a different officer observed a brown Mercedes-Benz sedan take off southbound on N Tully Rd from the apartment complex. When the officer attempted to make a traffic stop on it, it briefly pulled over in the 2300 block of Fulkerth Rd, however, took off within seconds.

The brown Mercedes-Benz ran a few red lights and got onto southbound State Route 99, where it reached speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour. The officer pursued it for about a minute, at which point its driver shut all its lights off and the officer lost visual of it. The pursuit was terminated.

The third involved vehicle, a white sedan, possibly a Kia, was never located.

Back on the traffic stop of the black Rogue, which turned out to be a rental vehicle, officers contacted four subjects in it and detained them in handcuffs.

All four subjects were identified, including Jeremy White, 37, two 19-year-olds, and a 16-year-old, all from Los Angeles.

None of the four were able to explain what they were doing in Turlock from Los Angeles and the 16-year-old’s grandmother was shocked to hear that her grandson was here.

When officers had their dispatcher run the four, they discovered that White was on parole for stalking, one of the 19-year-olds was on probation for robbery, and neither of the four had a valid driver’s license.

During a subsequent search of the black Rogue, officers located gloves, masks, and narcotics.

Officers checked the Oak Park Apartments for evidence of any crimes, however, were unable to locate any.

Officers then called a local parole agent and notified him of what had occurred. The parole agent found that there was probable cause White had violated the terms of his parole, so he authorized that White be held until a parole revocation hearing can take place.

White was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of possession of a controlled substance and violation of parole.

The three others were released, although a photo of them was taken to be disseminated to allied law enforcement agencies for identification purposes in case they’re involved in any other potential crimes.
