On Wednesday, May 10th, 2023, at 2:46 pm, Turlock Police investigators near the intersection of S Berkeley Ave and S Golden State Blvd, Turlock, observed a man driving a vehicle fail to properly come to a stop at a stop sign, so they made a traffic stop on him.

The investigators made contact with and identified the vehicle’s three occupants, including driver Arthur Peralta, 31, of Turlock, and passenger Jose Aguilar, 30, of Turlock.

When the investigators had their dispatcher run the two, they discovered that Peralta had a suspended driver’s license and Aguilar was on post release community supervision for manslaughter, assault with a deadly weapon other than a firearm, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon or person addicted to a narcotic, participating in a criminal street gang, and fleeing the scene of an accident resulting in injury or death to another person.

The investigators then contacted Aguilar’s probation officer who found that Aguilar had violated the terms of his release by associating with Peralta.

Peralta and Aguilar were both arrested, Peralta was released on a citation on the charge of driving with a suspended driver’s license and Aguilar was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on the charge of violation of post release community supervision.
