Man Robbed at Knifepoint, Suspect Arrested

Turlock Police Officers responded to a call at Planet Fitness, where a man allegedly pulled out a knife while robbing another man of his belongings.

According to the Turlock Police Department, authorities were notified of a robbery that involved two men who were in a car together around 1:50 p.m. on Wednesday, at Planet Fitness, located at 1360 W. Main Street.

Allegedly, the passenger pulled out a knife on the driver and demanded that he get out of the car, hand over his money, and cell phone. The victim did as he was told.

Keith Hobbs, 39 years old, was located by police on the 600 block of S. Soderquist Road. Hobbs was still was in the car that he took and after police conducted a search of the car, was found in possession of the cell phone.

Hobbs was arrested for robbery and was taken to the Stanislaus County jail.

The victim was not injured during the incident and received his cell phone back.
