On Monday, March 13th, 2023, at 7:35 am, the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office was dispatched to a reported armed robbery that had just occurred at the intersection of E Greenway Ave and Golf Rd, Turlock.

When deputies arrived on scene, they contacted the victim who told them that he had been following a couple he had just met a few hours prior to a motel in Livingston to help them rent a room.

While on the way, the couple randomly pulled over on E Greenway Ave just west of Golf Rd, and exited their vehicle. They then approached the victim, pointed a gun at him, and demanded he empty his pockets. The woman then attempted to steal the victim’s vehicle, however, he was able to fight her away. The victim was able to get his money and phone back, however, the woman was still able to make off on foot with some other miscellaneous property, including the victim’s car keys.

The remaining suspect fled in the vehicle the couple had originally been in, simply described to be light-colored and foreign-made.

The investigation remains ongoing.
