On Friday, August 20th, 2021, at 11:07 pm, the Turlock Police Department, Stanislaus State Police Department, Turlock Fire Department, and American Medical Response were dispatched to a reported shooting that had just occurred at The Palms Apartments, 1119 Pedras Rd, Turlock.
When crews arrived on scene, they located a male victim with a gunshot wound. Life saving measures were performed on him and he was ground transported by American Medical Response to a local hospital.
Officers began investigating, determining that all the involved parties knew each other and that the shooting occurred as a result of an argument.
All those involved have been identified and there is currently no one outstanding. No arrests have been made yet. The firearm used in the shooting has been recovered.
At the hospital, the victim underwent surgery and is currently in stable condition.
