Man stabbed at his home Saturday evening

On Saturday, July 17th, 2021, at approximately 5:45 pm, the Turlock Police Department received a 9-1-1 hangup from a residence in the 900 block of N Olive Ave. When dispatch called back the number that the 9-1-1 call originated from, a female answered and stated that four Hispanic males all wearing white and one wearing a black hat just stabbed her husband at their home and left the scene in a white Toyota sedan, possibly a Camry or Corolla. Officers were dispatched along with American Medical Response and the Turlock Fire Department’s Engine 31.

When officers arrived on scene, they located the victim sitting on the front porch of his residence with an unknown number of stab wounds. Fire and medical crews arrived on scene shortly after and began treating the victim. He was transported to a local area hospital in stable condition.

While officers were investigating, they located a knife laying in the middle of the roadway across the street from the scene. That knife was taken to be used as evidence and is suspected to be the knife that was used in the crime. Other officers checked the area for the suspects and their vehicle, however, were unable to locate them.

The investigation remains on-going. Anyone with information regarding this incident is encouraged to contact Officer Marco Diaz at 209-668-5550 extension 6717.
