Man suffers major injuries after t-bone collision Friday night

On Friday, November 18th, 2022, at 9:53 pm, the Turlock Police Department, Stanislaus State Police Department, Turlock Fire Department, and American Medical Response were dispatched to a reported vehicle collision with injuries at the intersection of E Tuolumne Rd and N Olive Ave, Turlock.

When crews arrived on scene, they found two vehicles involved. The first one was a white Toyota sedan and the second one was a silver Nissan sedan. The silver Nissan sedan had also struck a tree.

Both vehicles only had single occupants, their drivers. The driver of the white Toyota sedan did not suffer any injuries, while the driver of the silver Nissan sedan suffered moderate injuries. He was ground transported by American Medical Response to a local hospital.

Both vehicles sustained major damage as a result of the collision, requiring them to be towed away.

Officers began investigating and determined that the white Toyota sedan had been traveling eastbound on E Tuolumne Rd from Meadowlark Dr approaching the intersection, while the silver Nissan sedan had been traveling northbound on N Olive Ave from Delbon Aveapproaching the intersection. The two vehicles arrived at the intersection at the same time and entered it, which resulted in the front of the white Toyota sedan colliding with the left side of the silver Nissan sedan. The white Toyota sedan came to final rest in the roadway, while the silver Nissan sedan went up onto the sidewalk and came to final rest after colliding with a tree. Fault has yet to be determined.
