Man tased by security guard after becoming confrontational while trespassing Tuesday evening

On Tuesday, June 28th, 2022, at 6:38 pm, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported trespass in progress at Jack in the Box, 2601 Geer Rd, Turlock, after a security guard for the property had asked two subjects to leave and they had refused.

When officers arrived on scene, they found out that the security guard had tased one of the subjects.

Officers began investigating and learned that the security guard had seen the two on the property earlier in the day and had asked them to leave. The security guard left and upon his return noticed that the two subjects were still on the property. When he made contact with them again to tell them to leave, they became confrontational with him and began approaching him. That’s when he deployed his taser on one of them.

The subject who was tased was treated by American Medical Response on scene and then both were arrested.

The two were identified as Rudy Mireles, 64, of Turlock, and Loren Epperson, 63, of Turlock.

Both subjects were booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of trespassing and public intoxication.
