On Saturday, January 7th, 2023, at 2:43 am, the Turlock Police Department, Turlock Fire Department, and American Medical Response were dispatched to a reported aggravated assault that had just occurred at QuikStop, 1260 Geer Rd, Turlock, after a man had called to report that he had just been shot.

Officers arrived on scene within about a minute and found Spencer Silva, 28, of Turlock, walking around, however, claiming to have been shot in the foot and to be in extreme pain. Officers examined Silva’s foot, however, there were no gunshot wounds, blood, or anything else that would be indicative of him being shot.

Officers eventually noticed that Silva was exhibiting objective symptoms of being under the influence of narcotics and were familiar with his addiction problem.

Silva was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on the charge of public intoxication.
