Man Walking With Knife Arrested for Disorderly Conduct

At about 8:55pm Thursday, Turlock Police responded to a weapon offense in progress at Yogurt Mill in the 2500 block of Geer Road.

The caller reported that there was a transient walking around the parking lot with a knife in his hand who had been last seen near the drive-through window after putting the knife back in his pocket.

Officer Jimenez arrived on scene and located Spencer Silva, 29, of Turlock, standing on the corner matching the description.

Silva is someone who police used to regularly deal with before being sent off to prison early last year after being found in a stolen vehicle.

Since being released from prison two weeks ago, Silva has already been contacted by police numerous times and has even had to be given Narcan to save his life after an opioid overdose.

Despite this, Silva was yet again displaying objective symptoms of being under the influence of drugs in a public place unable to care for the safety of himself or others.

Silva was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on the charge of disorderly conduct.
