IMG_6912-1

At about 9:50pm Monday, Turlock Police, Turlock Fire, and American Medical Response responded to an aggravated assault at the Motel 6 in the 200 block of S. Walnut Road.

The caller reported that a man had walked into the motel lobby, claiming he had been stabbed.

When officers arrived on scene, they found the victim and cleared fire and medical personnel into the scene.

The victim was transported by American Medical Response to a local hospital.

Per the MedNet report from the paramedic to the hospital, the victim was a 34-year-old male who was alert and conscious with four stab wounds to his upper-left thoracic area, as well as a 3″ laceration to the left side of his head after being struck with an unknown object.

Officers began investigating but were unable to pinpoint exactly where the incident occurred. They had received information that it had possibly happened outside the Hot Rod Diner (which was closed at the time), but searched the area and didn’t locate anything sufficient. They then later attempted to speak with the victim at the hospital, but were unable to due to him being sedated.

Officers and detectives were working on getting surveillance camera footage today, but didn’t have any suspect information at the time of their update to Turlock City News.

Police did reiterate to Turlock City News, as they did last night, that this incident was not related to either the homicide on E. Springer Drive or the sounds of shots heard on Crowell Road.
