Man Wanted After Committing Two Armed Robberies

At about 9:39am Friday, Turlock Police responded to an armed robbery that had just occurred at Quik Stop in the 1200 block of Geer Road.

When officers arrived on scene, they spoke with the caller who told them that the suspect had entered the business and asked for the air to be turned on. The suspect went out, got his air, and returned, brandishing a knife and demanding money from the register. The caller opened the register and the suspect leaned over it, while she got the money from it and handed it to him.

The suspect then fled southbound on Geer Road on a toddler-seized bicycle, afterward possibly eastbound on Wayside Drive and northbound on N. Palm Street per a witness in the 200 block of Wayside Drive. He was described as a Black male in his twenties wearing a black hoodie, black pants, and black boots.

The following day, Saturday, at 7:52am, Turlock Police responded to another armed robbery that had just occurred, this one at Fast Stop Liquor in the 300 block of W. Canal Drive.

When officers arrived on scene, they spoke with the caller who told them that the suspect had entered the business and asked them if they cashed checks. The suspect then pulled out a knife and demanded the caller give him “the money.” The caller complied and the suspect took about $600 in cash and several thousand dollars worth of uncashed checks.

The suspect also attempted to rob a customer who had come into the business during the robbery but threw the customer’s wallet back at him.

The suspect then fled westbound on W. Canal Drive. He was described as a Black male in his thirties wearing a green work vest and black pants.

Through the investigation, it was determined that the suspects from both robberies were the same person. He’s yet to be identified.

Officers checked the areas after both robberies, however, were unable to locate the suspect.
