On Thursday, July 20th, 2023, at 8:07 pm, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported trespass in progress at Yoshino/Shaw & Associates, 1016 N Golden State Blvd, Turlock.

When officers arrived on scene, they found and contacted a man who identified himself as his brother.

When officers had their dispatcher run the person the man claimed to be, another officer overheard it and advised the officers who were on the call that Mark Western, 32, of Ceres, likes to identify himself as his brother and that he had a felony warrant.

Through a booking photo and tattoo information, it was confirmed that officers were out with Western, not the brother he claimed to be, and that he had a $50,500 felony bench warrant out of Stanislaus County for carrying a loaded firearm.

Western was arrested and a search of his person incident to arrest led to the discovery of narcotics.

Western was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of false personation and possession of a controlled substance, as well as his warrant.
