Man with five warrants arrested after originally identifying self as brother Tuesday morning

On Tuesday, July 19th, 2022, at 8:57 am, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a security check at 76 DoubleTime, 101 N Tully Rd, Turlock, after a man had been seen passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle with drugs in his lap.

When officers arrived on scene, they made contact with the man, later identified as Francisco Rios, 30, of Turlock.

Rios originally identified himself as himself as his brother, however, his lie was discovered when dispatch found a previous record associated with the vehicle where Rios had pretended to be his brother at that time as well.

Rios was ran and turned out to have five misdemeanor warrants for charges including possession of a controlled substance, violation of a domestic violence protective order, contempt of court, resisting a peace officer, providing false identification to a peace officer, possession of methamphetamines, and driving with a suspended driver’s license due to a DUI conviction.

Rios was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of false personation and possession of a controlled substance as well as his warrants.
