Man with misdemeanor warrants for theft and burglary arrested during traffic stop Thursday night

On Thursday, December 1st, 2022, at 9:26 pm, a Turlock Police officer near the intersection of Fulkerth Rd and N Tully Rd, Turlock, observed a vehicle violate the California Vehicle Code, so he made a traffic stop on it.

The officer made contact with and identified the vehicle’s driver as Eric Shepherd, 36, of Turlock.

When the officer had his dispatcher run Shepherd, he returned with two misdemeanor bench warrants. The first one was a $7,000 one out of Stanislaus State for driving with a suspended driver’s license, theft, and possession of methamphetamines, while the second one was a $7,555 local one for trespassing and burglary.

Shepherd was arrested and released on a citation on his warrants.
