On Monday, September 12th, 2022, at 11:00 pm, a Turlock Police officer near Motel 6, 250 S Walnut Rd, Turlock, recognized and made contact with a man who he believed to have a misdemeanor warrant.
The officer had his dispatcher run the man, Ricky Agundez, 41, of Turlock, and he did indeed return with the local misdemeanor warrant of arrest for shoplifting that the officer originally believed he had. He also returned with two additional warrants out of Santa Clara County, the first being a felony $10,000 one for grand theft and petty theft, and the second being a misdemeanor no bail one for petty theft.
Agundez was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on his warrants.
