On Friday, January 13th, 2023, at 3:27 pm, a Turlock Police officer near Turlock City Hall, 156 S Broadway, Turlock, recognized and got out with a man who he believed had a warrant.

The officer had his dispatcher run the man, William Rock, 54, of Denair, and he confirmed that he did indeed have a $25,000 felony Ramey warrant for attempted arson and possession of an incendiary device.

The incident that the warrant stemmed from occurred the evening of Saturday, December 3rd, 2022, in the 600 block of Mitchell Ave. Rock had attempted to light the fence of a residence on fire and then fled the area. Officers checked the area, however, were unable to locate him. Surveillance camera video provided by the victim led to his identification and the warrant being issued.

Rock was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on his warrant.
