Man with warrant for attempted robbery arrested after battering someone and breaking window early Thursday morning

On Thursday, March 2nd, 2023, at 12:03 am, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported disturbance in progress at a residence in the 700 block of N Soderquist Rd, Turlock, where two drunk men were attempting to get back into a home that they had just been kicked out of.

While officers were responding, one of the two men battered someone and broke a window. The two then began walking away from the scene before being contacted by officers on Chestnut St a few minutes later.

The two were identified, including Ismael Farias, 20, of Turlock. Farias had cuts to his arm because he was the one who had broken the window, so American Medical Response was requested. Farias refused transport to the hospital, so he was treated on scene.

Afterward, officers had their dispatcher run Farias and they discovered that he had a $50,000 local felony Ramey warrant for attempted robbery and conspiracy.

Farias was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of battery and vandalism, as well as his warrant.

The other man who Farias was with had not committed any crimes besides public intoxication, so he was given a courtesy ride to an address of his choosing to get him off the streets until he sobered up.
