Man with warrants arrested with large-capacity magazine after being recognized by officer Tuesday night

On Tuesday, February 7th, 2023, at 11:49 pm, a Turlock Police officer near Arco AMPM, 1801 Lander Ave, Turlock, noticed and recognized a suspect from a be-on-the-lookout from Merced County, so he got out with him.

The man, Marco Toste, 31, of Hilmar, and a woman who he was with were detained due to three warrants that Toste had out of Merced County. The first one was a $100,000 felony one for threatening to commit a crime which will result in death or great bodily injury to another person, the second one was a $10,000 misdemeanor one for violating a domestic violence protective order, and the third one was a $10,000 felony one for forgery.

Toste was arrested pursuant to his warrants and a subsequent search of his vehicle was conducted. The search led to the discovery of a large-capacity magazine.

Toste was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on the charge of possession of a large-capacity magazine, as well as his warrants.
