Marijuana Grow-Op, Guns Found in Turlock Home

Turlock police seized 100 mature marijuana plants and two loaded weapons Monday, following a raid on a Turlock home.

The drugs and weapons were found in the 500 block of Vermont Ave., where the Turlock Police Narcotics Enforcement Team served a search warrant at approximately 9:45 a.m. Monday. In addition to the 100 marijuana plants, officers found evidence of a concentrated cannabis lab.

According to Turlock police the plants were capable of producing between 150 and 200 pounds of the drug, worth approximately $200,000.

Officers also found a short-barreled shotgun and a revolver, both loaded, according to Turlock police.

David Rivera-Cruz, 22, of Turlock, was arrested as a result of the raid. He was booked for cultivation of marijuana, possession of marijuana for sales, conspiracy, and violation of probation.
