Two men were arrested for vandalizing a Turlock High School baseball field during a vehicular joyride Friday evening, causing thousands of dollars in damage and rendering the field unplayable.
According to the Turlock Police, Paul Mendoza, 28, and Andrew Stalnaker, 26, were arrested in the 1600 block of E. Canal Dr., at 11:20 p.m. on Friday.
The two men are accused of driving onto the field earlier Friday evening, then doing “donuts,” spinning their vehicles out, and burnouts. The tires left large, deep ruts throughout the grass field, causing $3,000 to $4,000 in damage.
According to a Turlock High School baseball player, the team might not be able to use the field for up to two weeks.
