At about 4:08pm Tuesday afternoon, Turlock Police responded to a suspicious person in the 400 block of E. Main Street.
The caller reported that there was a man playing a violin and panhandling, while being rude and obscene with people who didn’t give him money. It was also reported that he was going into the various businesses being aggressive.
Officers arrived on scene and contacted the man while he was inside Cycle Masters, after the caller pointed him out.
The man was identified and discovered to be a missing person out of Washington who had been reported missing on November 13th. The missing person hit indicated that the man would be carrying a violin case and is a diagnosed schizophrenic.
The man hadn’t committed any crimes and was released.
The woman who reported him missing was notified.
