Motorcycle possibly involved in armed robbery month prior leads officer on reckless pursuit Sunday night

On Sunday, August 21st, 2022, at 10:37 pm, a Turlock Police officer near the intersection of E Christoffersen Pkwy and Geer Rd, Turlock, observed a motorcycle violate the California Vehicle Code, so he attempted to make a traffic stop on it.

The motorcyclist failed to stop for the officer and a pursuit ensued.

The motorcyclist turned southbound on Fosberg Rd and then westbound on W Monte Vista Ave, continuing up until N Washington Rd, running several red lights in the process. The motorcyclist was lost after they made a southbound turn onto N Washington Rd.

The motorcycle involved in the pursuit matched the description of one used as a getaway vehicle in an armed robbery of a gas station that had occurred about a month prior. It’s currently unclear if it was indeed the same one.

The investigation remains on-going. Anyone with information that could assist in the investigation is encouraged to call Officer Ryan Mulhim at 209-668-1200.
