Motorcyclist arrested after being caught with loaded unserialized handgun Wednesday night

On Wednesday, April 26th, 2023, at 11:12 pm, a Turlock Police officer near the intersection of N Olive Ave and Cedar Ridge Dr, Turlock, observed a man riding a motorcycle violate the California Vehicle Code, so he made a traffic stop on him.

The officer made contact with and identified the man as Timothy Shaw, 42, of Keyes.

When the officer asked Shaw if he had anything illegal on him, he remained silent and nodded his head yes.

During a subsequent search of Shaw’s person, the officer discovered a loaded and unserialized handgun concealed deep in his pants.

Shaw was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon or person addicted to a narcotic, possession of an undetectable firearm, and carrying a loaded firearm.

It should be noted that Shaw’s son, who shares the same name as him, was arrested under very similar circumstances on a very similar motorcycle around the same time last year. His arresting officer was also present at this stop, creating an interesting deja vu-like experience
