At about 10:17pm Saturday, Ceres Police Officer Roseen attempted to make a traffic stop near Mitchell Road and Rosewood Avenue.

Roseen was attempting to stop a motorcyclist, but he failed to stop and a pursuit ensued.

The motorcyclist went southbound on Mitchell Road, before continuing onto southbound State Route 99.

After taking the Fulkerth Road exit in Turlock, the motorcyclist briefly drove through the westside, before exiting Turlock westbound on W. Main Street.

Up to this point in the pursuit, the motorcycle had been having mechanical issues which kept it at relatively safe speeds, however, it began slowing down even more, allowing officers to box it in near W. Main Street and N. Blaker Road.

The motorcyclist, later identified as Brandon Walker, 33, of Modesto, was arrested.

Walker was identified and determined to be unlicensed.

During a search of Walker’s pockets incident to arrest, officers located methamphetamines.

Walker was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of fleeing from a peace officer by vehicle with disregard for public safety, fleeing from a peace officer by vehicle against traffic, possession of methamphetamines, and resisting a peace officer.
