Motorcyclist arrested on four misdemeanor warrants during traffic stop Wednesday night

On Wednesday, September 7th, 2022, at 10:48 pm, a Turlock Police officer near the intersection of W Main St and West Ave S, Turlock, observed a motorcycle violate the California Vehicle Code, so he made a traffic stop on it.

The officer made contact with and identified the motorcyclist as Quiano Smith, 44, of Modesto.

When the officer had his dispatcher run Smith, he returned with four misdemeanor warrants out of Modesto. The first was a $1,020 one for driving with a suspended driver’s license due to a DUI conviction, the second was a $7,555 one for possession of methamphetamines and possession of drug paraphernalia, the third was a $4,555 one for theft, and the fourth was a $4,550 one for obstructing or resisting a peace officer or other public officer.

Smith was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on his warrants.
