At about 4:00am Saturday, Turlock Police responded to an alarm at Chevron in the 2900 block of Geer Road.
The caller was the alarm company reporting two activations, main store motion and counter glass break. They were unable to get ahold of a responder.
Someone who happened to be driving by the business at the same time noticed the right front glass door was shattered and called dispatch, informing them it was a confirmed burglary.
Officers arrived on scene a few minutes later and cleared the business, not finding anyone inside.
It’s unknown exactly what was taken, but a couple of packs of cigarettes were found dropped on the ground outside the business.
Officer Roton stood by for nearly two hours waiting for the opening clerk as dispatch was unable to get ahold of anybody.
The investigation remains ongoing. Anyone with information that could assist is encouraged to call Officer Roton at 209-668-6536.
