Officer Involved Shooting West of Turlock

Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Detectives are investigating an officer involved shooting that occurred on Saturday night at approximately 9:30pm, west of Turlock.

 
At 9:18pm on June 18th, Stanislaus County Deputies and officer’s from the California Highway Patrol (CHP) responded to Crowslanding Rd. and West Main St. for a potentially armed suicidal subject.
 
CHP Officers responding to the incident located a vehicle potentially belonging to the suicidal subject in the 10,000 Block of Crowslanding Rd. Shortly after arriving the CHP officers were involved in a shooting with a male subject.
 
Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office Detectives, investigators from the District Attorney’s office and CHP investigators are currently investigating what led up to tonight’s officer involved shooting. Investigators are currently processing the crime scene and interviewing witnesses.
