Old Jura’s Pizza Parlor location goes up in flames Thursday night

On Thursday, February 24th, 2022, at 11:52 pm, the Turlock Fire Department, Modesto Fire Department, Turlock Police Department, and American Medical Response were dispatched to a reported commercial working structure fire at one of the old Jura’s Pizza Parlor locations, 309 N Center St, Turlock.

When firefighters arrived on scene, they found the structure fully involved.

Firefighters worked in the defensive strategy towards bringing the fire under control and knocking it out. Bringing the fire under control took awhile and required additional resources from the Modesto Fire Department and Stanislaus Consolidated Fire Protection District.

Firefighters remained on scene for an extended period of time after the fire was out conducting overhaul, investigation, and other post fire activities.

The Stanislaus Regional Fire Investigations Unit responded to the scene to investigate the fire, American Medical Response responded to the scene to provide firefighter and patient care, the Turlock Irrigation District and Pacific Gas and Electric responded to the scene to secure utilities, the Turlock Police Department responded to the scene to provide traffic control, while the Turlock Rural Fire Protection District provided city coverage during the duration of the incident.

No injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire remains unknown.
