Oma (Bobbie) Zanutto
July 8, 1917 – February 2009

Born Oma Rawles to Charles and Oma Rawles in Bolivar, Missouri on July 8, 1917. Oma and her family moved to Los Angeles, California in 1919 where Oma was raised.

She moved to Palm Springs, California where she worked in the Army Hospital as a typist during World War II. She met and married Warren Zanutto on October 4, 1942, who was stationed at Palm Springs Army Air Field. They moved to Los Angeles after WWII.

While living in Los Angeles Oma worked for Rocketdyne, the company that built the rockets that powered the space shuttle to the space station and back to earth.

In 1969 they moved to Turlock where Oma worked for Medic Alert and Smith Chevrolet for a short time.

Oma enjoyed playing golf at Turlock Country Club, traveling in motor home and flying trips.

She leaves daughter Jean Wells of Raymond, CA, Deanna Curley of San Jose, CA; grandson Michael Folino of Los Angeles, CA; granddaughter Debora Catania of Coarsegold, CA; and Cinda Curley of San Jose, CA.

A funeral will be held 10:00 am Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at Allen Mortuary with a burial to follow at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella.

A visitation will be held 10:00 am – 7:00 pm Monday, March 2, 2009 at Allen Mortuary.
