Parolee arrested after causing disturbance at medical facility Thursday morning

On Thursday, February 9th, 2023, at 7:51 am, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported trespass in progress at Sutter Health, 3100 W Christoffersen Pkwy, Turlock, where a man was causing a disturbance and refusing to leave.

When officers arrived on scene, they found and made contact with a man who identified himself as Christopher Smith, 36, of Palo Alto.

When officers had their dispatcher run Smith, they discovered that he was on parole for threatening to commit a crime which will result in death or great bodily injury to another person.

A subsequent parole search of Smith’s person led to the discovery of narcotics. Additionally, Smith was displaying objective symptoms of being under the influence.

Smith was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of public intoxication, possession of methamphetamines, possession of drug paraphernalia, and violation of parole.
