Parolee arrested after shoplifting from drugstore twice in same day Sunday evening

On Sunday, December 25th, 2022, at 5:45 pm, the Turlock Police Department was dispatched to a reported larceny that had just occurred at Walgreens, 1591 Geer Rd, Turlock.

Officers arrived in the area and located the suspect in the 400 block of Twentieth Century Blvd. He was contacted and identified as Karl Zamora, 36, of Turlock.

Zamora was positively identified as the shoplifter by an employee and it was also shared that this was the second time he had shoplifted from them that day. The first incident had gone unreported.

When officers had their dispatcher run Zamora, he returned to be parole. A parole agent was contacted who found that there was probable cause a violation of parole had occurred, so he authorized that Zamora be placed on a hold while awaiting a parole revocation hearing.

Zamora was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of shoplifting, possession of methamphetamines, and violation of parole.
