Parolee arrested on weapon charge during suspicious person contact Thursday evening

On Thursday, September 1st, 2022, at 5:57 pm, a Turlock Police officer near Walmart, 2111 Fulkerth Rd, Turlock, observed and made contact with a suspicious person behind the business.

When the officer had his dispatcher run the man, Karl Zamora, 36, of Turlock, he discovered that he was on parole.

A subsequent parole search of Zamora led to the discovery of a tear gas weapon, narcotics, and drug paraphernalia.

Zamora was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of possession of a tear gas weapon by a convicted felon or person convicted of an assault crime, possession of methamphetamines, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
