At about 12:04am Tuesday morning, Turlock Police Officer Mulhim got out with an occupied suspicious vehicle with no license plates attached to it at the Venice Motel in the 1100 block of N. Golden State Boulevard.

Mulhim made contact with and identified the vehicle’s occupant, Pawandeep Sekhon, 38, of Patterson.

When Mulhim had his dispatcher run Sekhon, he discovered he was on parole for burglary and probation for vandalism and auto theft.

Mulhim removed Sekhon from the vehicle and detained him in handcuffs so that he could conduct a parole search.

When Mulhim ran the vehicle’s identification number, he discovered that it had been reported stolen to the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office.

Mulhim called Sekhon’s parole agent and informed him of what had occurred. The agent found that there was probable cause Sekhon had violated the terms of his parole, so he authorized that he be held until a parole revocation hearing could take place.

Sekhon was arrested and booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center on charges of buying or receiving a stolen vehicle and violation of parole.
